Elevate in the middle of a batch-file

Have you ever run into an issue where you need to elevate during a script. Sometimes it's more convenient to allow users to run the scripts themselves, and if they are local admins they can do some serious changes also with a script. If you place your script on a mapped network drive, and they right-click that batch-file and select run as administrator, the administrative profile would not have any mapped drives, and trying to run the script will fail miserably.

Feil under installasjon av Service Pack 2 til Office 2007

Microsoft har sluppet en hotfix om du får error 1008 i application-logen ved install av Office 2007 SP2. I mitt tilfelle skjedde dette på to terminalservere, som hadde automatiske oppdateringer på. Så hver natt sluttet Excel å fungere pga. de prøvde å installere SP2 uten hell.

Etter installasjon av denne hotfixen fungerer dette greit igjen.

Migrering fra Virtual Server til VMWare?

V2V kan være en utfordring.. Har du glemt å fjerne Microsoft-driverne før du migrerte? Her er en liten fiks om du ikke får inn mus-driveren til VMWare, eller om du ikke får ut musa fra konsollet ;-)

If you don't want to have to reconvert your machine, simply remove the old mouse driver from the mouse device class:
Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E96F-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Then remove the value msvmmouf from the UpperFilters Regvalue, then reboot.
